Clinical Expertise

Specialist, formulation-driven assessment and clinical leadership for children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental, neurological, and psychological needs.

Needs-Led & Evidence Based Practice

All pathways follow a structured clinical framework, with assessment and formulation at the core of our clinical model. This  ensures that all recommendations and intervention are clinically informed and proportionate to presenting needs.

We recognise that each child’s profile is unique and evolving, with consideration of:
  • Developmental stage and trajectory

  • Cognitive strengths and vulnerabilities

  • Emotional and behavioural functioning

  • Adaptive skills and independence

  • Family, educational, and care contexts

We prioritise clarity and measurable outcomes, with therapeutic or rehabilitative input:
  • Offered only where clinically indicated

  • Developmentally informed

  • Time-limited and goal-focused

  • Agreed in advance and reviewed regularly

  • Proportionate to identified needs

  • Adapted to changing needs and development

Multidisciplinary Support & System-Wide Working

For complex cases, NeuroKids provides structured multidisciplinary (MDT) oversight to promote coherence, accountability, and clinically informed decision-making. We work collaboratively with families and professionals to support coordinated, consistent care across therapeutic, educational, and medico-legal systems.

Case Co-ordination & Leadership

  • Strategic input into education, care, and rehabilitation planning

  • Liaison with case managers, schools, therapists, and legal professionals

  • Alignment of multidisciplinary packages of support

  • Avoidance of duplication or fragmented provision

Collaborative Care & Professional Partnerships

This includes close working relationships with:

  • Case managers

  • Solicitors

  • Multidisciplinary teams

  • Families and carers

Teaching, Training & Professional Support

We offer teaching, training, and consultation to support those working with the child or young person to understand needs and implement recommendations effectively. This may include:

  • Training for carers, school staff, and professionals

  • Consultation to support emotional and behavioural management

  • Ongoing professional support to promote consistency across settings

What We Offer

At NeuroKids, our work is grounded in neuropsychological expertise, developmental science, and robust clinical governance. Every pathway begins with a clearly defined clinical question. Assessment and formulation guide all recommendations, ensuring that support is proportionate, evidence-based, and meaningful in real-world contexts.
