A Bit About Me
Dr Kirsten Verity is a Clinical Neuropsychologist with over two decades of experience in paediatric neuropsychology and mental health. As an associate with NeuroKids, Dr Verity brings expertise in supporting children and young people with acquired brain injuries, epilepsy, ADHD, and neurobehavioural challenges. Her work emphasises the integration of CBT, systemic approaches, consultation, and liaison to deliver comprehensive care that addresses the unique needs of each child within their family and educational systems.
Dr Verity holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Glasgow and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical Psychologist. She has served as the Paediatric Neuropsychology Service Lead in NHS Lothian since 2004 and is the Co-founder and Project Lead of PAVES (Psychology Adding Value Epilepsy Screening). In this capacity, she has led innovative initiatives to enhance neuropsychological care for children and young people, particularly in neurological and neurodevelopmental contexts.
Dr Verity is actively involved in advancing the field of paediatric neuropsychology. She sits on committees for the Faculty of Paediatric Neuropsychology and the Division of Neuropsychology Scotland, both part of the British Psychological Society. As an honorary lecturer at the University of Edinburgh, she contributes to postgraduate psychology courses, sharing her expertise with the next generation of clinicians. Her research contributions include publications in peer-reviewed journals and consultation on multicentre neuropsychology research projects.
