A Bit About Me

Dr Jenny Reeves is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with over twenty years of experience working across a range of NHS and independent services. As an associate with NeuroKids, she brings a wealth of expertise in supporting children, young people, and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions and mental health difficulties. Dr Reeves completed her doctoral training at the University of East Anglia in 2007 and has since held senior clinical and leadership roles within specialist CAMHS, including Consultant/Clinical Lead and member of the Senior Management Team.

 

Dr Reeves has significant experience in conducting neurodevelopmental assessments, including autism and ADHD assessments across the lifespan. Her clinical work spans a wide range of presentations, including tics and Tourette’s Syndrome, specific learning difficulties, and co-occurring mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and emotional dysregulation. Dr Reeves previously worked in an NHS adult ADHD team, completing diagnostic assessments and providing tailored recommendations for support and reasonable adjustments.

 

Her therapeutic practice is grounded in evidence-based models, and she is trained in a broad range of approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Behavioural Therapy for Tics. Her approach is thoughtful, compassionate, and collaborative, always striving to offer care that is attuned to individual needs.

 

Dr Reeves works closely with families, education providers, social services, and health professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care. She is particularly committed to delivering high-quality assessments and support for neurodivergent individuals, enabling them to access appropriate care, education, and accommodations.

 

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr Reeves has completed further training in leadership and supervision. In 2019, she achieved a Distinction in the Postgraduate Certificate in Leading Transformation and Change (CYP IAPT) from the Anna Freud Centre, reflecting her commitment to service development and innovation.

Our specialist team is neuropsychology led, with clinical and educational psychologists working collaboratively to support the cognitive, emotional, behavioural, social, and educational needs of children and young people. We work closely with case managers to ensure interventions align with rehabilitation goals and support therapeutic and legal processes.

We support children’s mental health needs with evidence-based approaches like cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), systemic therapy and trauma-focused interventions. Therapeutic provision is  goal focused to promote well-being and empower children and families to manage challenges effectively.

Through assessments and tailored interventions, we support children and young people to manage educational challenges, develop skills and achieve their full potential. We work with families and educational professionals to foster positive relationships and promote inclusive practices. 

We conduct in-depth assessments to identify cognitive strengths and challenges, providing information to inform interventions and rehabilitation. Assessments address needs such as behaviour, learning, memory, attention, executive functioning, and social-emotional regulation.

We specialise in working in the medico-legal setting providing expert witness neuropsychology and educational psychology assessments. delivering comprehensive evaluations, impartial reports, and tailored rehabilitation recommendations.
