Dr Hannah Abrahams is a Chartered Educational and Child Psychologist with over 19 years of experience helping children, families, and schools navigate complex emotional, social, and developmental challenges. As an associate with NeuroKids, Dr Abrahams specialises in supporting children and young people with neurodiversity, trauma, grief, and life-limiting conditions, using evidence-based and integrative approaches to foster resilience, emotional regulation, and cognitive development.
Dr Abrahams therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Mentalization-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Psychodynamic methods. She also incorporates tools such as art, play, and drama to support children’s expression and healing, particularly for those impacted by bereavement, trauma, or abuse. Dr Abrahams emphasises the importance of attachment theory and systemic approaches in her work, ensuring her interventions are tailored to the unique needs of each child and their family.
Dr Abrahams has extensive experience conducting autism assessments as part of multidisciplinary teams and supporting children with neurodevelopmental conditions and life-limiting illnesses. She is skilled in delivering psychological assessments, such as WISC-V and WIAT-III, and writing Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). In addition, she offers supervision for educators and runs workshops on topics like emotional literacy, anger management, and grief support, contributing to both individual growth and systemic change.
A former Clinical Manager for Grief Encounter and Consultant Educational Psychologist for Gesher School, Dr Abrahams has led teams providing trauma-informed care, including support for families affected by the Grenfell tragedy. She also contributes to staff development and mental health awareness in schools and corporate settings, delivering talks for organisations and contributing to media discussions, including the BBC and ITV, on children’s mental health.

Through assessments and tailored interventions, we support children and young people to manage educational challenges, develop skills and achieve their full potential. We work with families and educational professionals to foster positive relationships and promote inclusive practices.
We conduct assessments to identify cognitive strengths and challenges, providing information to inform interventions and rehabilitation. Our assessments address needs such as behaviour, learning, memory, attention, executive functioning, and social-emotional regulation.

We specialise in working in the medico-legal setting providing expert witness neuropsychology and educational psychology assessments. with comprehensive evaluations, impartial reports, and tailored recommendations and prognosis. We assist Claimants and Defendants, providing unbiased opinion to inform legal proceedings.

Our approach is assessment-led and formulation driven. Support is and evidence-based, grounded in neuropsychological formulation and developmental understanding. We provide clear, impartial opinion to inform clinical, educational, rehabilitation, and medico-legal decision-making, with intervention where clinically indicated.

We are registered practitioner psychologists (HCPC) who provide neuropsychological, psychological and educational services for children and young people with a range of complex needs. Including assessment, therapy, rehabilitation, MDT input, teaching/ training, and expert opinion across health, education and legal contexts.
